Technology Transfer FAQ: hotel Sales & CateringPro

Sales & Event Management Technology Transfer Program

To provide the best tools and experience for our customers, Amadeus is undertaking a Technology Transfer program to move all customers using the hotel SalesPro modules (including hotel AccountPro, SalesPro, CateringPro, and Sales & CateringPro). As part of the Technology Transfer program, customers will be migrated free of charge to our newest sales and event management solution Amadeus Sales & Event Management – Standard.

What is the effect of the end-of-life date?

August 1, 2021 is the end-of-life date for hotel Sales & CateringPro including AccountPro, SalesPro, CateringPro, and Sales & CateringPro. After this date, these products will no longer be available, maintained, or supported. Customers should make plans to move off the platform prior to that date.

What products will replace hotel AccountPro, SalesPro, CateringPro, and Sales & CateringPro?

As part of the program, Amadeus will transfer all customers to our product Amadeus Sales & Event Management – Standard free of charge.

Amadeus Sales & Event Management – Standard is a cloud-native sales and catering solutions that is designed for select-service properties to:

  • Manage and grow their group business
  • Deepen customer relationships through improved data collection and contact management
  • Improve insight into their business performance

If customers wish for increased functionality, they have the option to pay to migrate to Amadeus Sales & Event Management – Advanced for an additional charge. Amadeus Sales & Event Management – Advanced is our solution for larger full-service properties with over 5,000 square feet of event space. Customers interested in the paid option to migrate to Amadeus Sales & Event Management – Advanced can contact their sales representative.

What if I want to use my solutions after the end-of-life date?

Amadeus will be discontinuing hotel AccountPro, SalesPro, CateringPro, and Sales & CateringPro, hotel on the end-of-life date (August 1, 2021). This means the products will no longer be available for use. We suggest you consider your options soon to find the best solutions for your needs.

Why is Amadeus choosing to sunset these solutions now?

We are retiring these solutions because the underlying platforms built on the Microsoft technology stack (Windows Server and SQL Server) are aging, making it difficult to provide you with the best availability, performance, and support. While we understand the impact a change of this type has on your business, our aim is to make sure you are successful by assisting you in this transition to a new solution. Can I keep my data?

For customers discontinuing hotel AccountProSalesProCateringPro, and Sales & CateringPro, the Technology Transfer program includes a migration of essential business data. Options to do a full data migration including Accounts, Contacts, Tasks, Groups, and Functions and an option to do an A/C/A migration including (Accounts, Contacts, and Tasks only are both available. For a complete assessment, please read our full Definition of Services as well as well ourAccountContact & Activity Migration Defintion of Services.  Additionally, your SalesPro data can also be obtained and stored outside your system using existing SalesPro user reports. Will subscription prices be affected?

As part of the technology transfer program, clients will receive a full migration to Amadeus Sales & Event Management – Standard free of charge.

Once you have migrated to your new solution you will continue to pay the current rate that you do today. Going forward, subscription fees will be subject to an annual increase of not more than 5%.

For customers that are interested in purchasing Amadeus Sales & Event Management – Advanced, we encourage you to reach out to your Amadeus sales rep for additional information on pricing.

Will there be any changes to the Support I’ll receive?

Amadeus Sales & Event Management offers online training and help as well as additional customer service support, detailed below by module. Depending on which module you select, your Support model may change.

How will I be invoiced?

On your next Amadeus invoice, the ASEM Subscription will be displayed and shall replace reference to HSP Subscription. This invoice will be pro-rated from your HSP Subscription renewal date to the ASEM “Migration” date. Thereafter, the ASEM Subscription shall be invoiced in full and shall automatically renew for subsequent one (1) year periods (unless either party elects not to renew by providing the other party notice of its intent not to renew at least sixty (60) days prior to termination of the then current ASEM Subscription Term) on the anniversary date of Migration (“Subscription Term”). Invoicing shall be electronic and sent only via-mail to the current billing Subscriber contact that Amadeus has on file unless told otherwise by Subscriber.

How will my transfer be scheduled?

Amadeus will assign and schedule your transfer date. After you opt into the technology transfer program, Amadeus will identify a 4-week period when your migration will be executed. Amadeus will then communicate your assigned date at least two weeks in advance.

If you wish to have greater control over your migration data or would like additional oversight of how your data is migrated, Amadeus offers additional migration options that are available for a fee.

How will my property’s data be migrated?

Data migration occurs at the database level. All properties will be consolidated at the management company level and migrated under a single engagement consisting of one or more phases as data size dictates. Final review of inclusive property data will be confirmed by the customer. All properties will be migrated to the same net new instance of Amadeus Sales & Event Management – Standard.

Following your data migration, you will retain access to your data through a non-production system of your previous solution for 30 days. Any data entered into this legacy system will not transfer over to Amadeus Sales & Event Management – Standard.
