Modern Life Cycle Policy FAQ
How is the Modern Life Cycle Policy defined?
There is no default end-of-life date assigned to products governed by the Modern Life Cycle Policy. Amadeus will support these products until they are discontinued provided customers are licensed and willing to update to a current release version (if required). When Amadeus does need to discontinue a product under the Modern Life Cycle policy and an Amadeus replacement is not available, Amadeus will provide customers with at least 12 months advance notification.
What products are governed by the Modern Life Cycle Policy?
All modern, cloud-based hospitality products such as Delphi, iHotelier, Demand360, HotSoS, etc., are governed by the Modern Life Cycle Policy.
What is included in Continuous Service and Support?
Each product will be supported according to Amadeus’ Support Procedures and Guidelines, available upon login. Continuous Service and Support may include new product builds, new feature requests, access to online content, phone support, and online support. Under Continuous Service and Support, customers must be licensed to use the product and willing to update to a recently released version, if required by Customer Support, as fixes will only be provided for the latest two releases (or a subsequent future release).
What does “willing to update” mean?
Amadeus’ modern, cloud-based hospitality products are updated incrementally. (Some products, such as Delphi, are updated upon request only.) At times, an issue is resolved by a later version of the product. Accordingly, Customer Support may require a customer to approve of an update to a later release of the product before continuing to troubleshoot. Please be aware that updates introduce new functionality and may change the user experience.
Why does Amadeus have Fixed and Modern policies?
Following industry best practices, we align our policies to the types of products we offer. The “Fixed” and “Modern” categories group products based on how they are developed, sold, accessed, and maintained. This delineation makes it easier for customers to locate information needed for planning purposes.
