Tourism to the Netherlands is on the rise. The Netherlands Board of Tourism & Conventions (NBTC) aims to grow awareness of and market the country as a desirable destination for both leisure and business travelers. Sustainability is one of the organization’s top priorities.

In 2023, the NBTC collaborated with Amadeus to launch a digital media campaign designed to boost demand for sustainable inbound travel. The goal was to target German tourists from Cologne and Dusseldorf who were interested in visiting the nation sustainably: by rail, the most eco-friendly mode of transportation.
